Keeping Animals Safe

Video report:

This video gives information on how to protect the zoo animals from the cold.
Zoo's have started inovations to protect the zoo animals.,In Florida they are trying to rescue all the sea turtles that come up to the shore to keep warm. They also had to pick 10,000 butterflies and but them in a butterfly farm so they will stay warm. Lions also suffer in Franklin Zoo that is located in Boston, the girrafes are kept inside a 45 ft tall heated farm because they can't stand the cold and because if they walk outside they might slip in the ice. Water pumps keep the water animals from freezing and hay is put out so flamingos wouldnt have cold feet. Not only that but usually animals eat more in the cold so they will keep warm. Yet for other animals that need the cold this type of wheather makes them feel like home sweet home.
